AARP Home Fit

HomeFit was developed Dr. Debra Lindstrom, OT professor at Western Michigan University, and Karen Kafantaris, AARP's Associate State Director, as an AARP Program for community education on safety and prevention.

AARP HomeFit offers solutions that range from simple do-it-yourself fixes to improvements that require skilled expertise, to assist you to age in place.

There are three major objectives for this workshop.

1.  To assist you in recognizing all the great ways your home can be designed and updated to support your needs and lifestyle at any age.

2. To determine what is important to YOU in your living environment and how you can continue those activities throughout your life.

3. Determine what type of improvements are needed and what specialist if any is needed to assist you.
