AARP Home Fit

AARP HomeFit was developed Dr. Debra Lindstrom, OT professor at Western Michigan University, and Karen Kafantaris , AARP's Associate State Director, developed as an AARP Program for community education on safety and prevention.

AARP HomeFit offers solutions that range from simple do-it-yourself fixes to improvements that require skilled expertise.

There are three major objectives for this workshop.

1.  To assist you in recognizing all the great ways your home can be designed and updated to support your needs and lifestyle at any age.

2. To determine what is important to YOU in your living environment and how you can continue those activities throughout your life.

3. Determine what type of improvements are needed and what specialist if any is needed to assist you.

We moved!

I am excited to use the backdrop of “April is OT Month” to announce we’ve moved our studio office!

We remain in the Old Town Medical Arts Building but are now on the 3rd floor with significantly larger space to better serve our patients and families!

This moves allows us to partner to share clinical studio space with Chris Sovey, DPT, BSN, RN.  Chris is launching his private practice Healthy Consumer Physical Therapy.

Chris’s background in nursing and practice in pain management and DNS (dynamic neuromuscular stabilization) and his commitment to quality rehabilitation are all reasons I am excited about the potential to collaborate for those we serve at O’Connor Occupational Therapy Services PLLC!

Please check back to our website – as an Open House will be scheduled.

Chris’s website is

"Sláinte mhaith!"

To your good health!
