Tori Sparks, COTA/L, 200-hour intuitive yoga instructor; B.S. Exercise Science

Hi, my name is Tori Sparks.  I have worked in the field of Occupational Therapy since 2015 as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a specialization in yoga therapy.

I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Central Michigan University in 2005 and have 15 years of experience as an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (A.F.A.A.) group fitness instructor and a National Academy of Sports Medicine (N.A.S.M.) personal trainer.  I completed the 200-hour yoga teacher training program at Hilltop Yoga in Old Town Lansing in Fall of 2018.

My passion is yoga therapy and assisting all people in reaching their personal goals.  I have experience working as a COTA in Dimondale Nursing Care facility and currently work at Senior Care Community of Michigan – PACE, where I also engage participants in yoga therapy.  I currently lead small groups at PACE resulting in great success with improving mindfulness and decreasing stress and anxiety by learning to live in the present moment.   I have a strong personal yoga and meditation practice and feel that many people can benefit greatly from this practice.

I am very excited to work with Michael O’Connor and engage in mindful yoga, meditation and stress reduction techniques with those we serve!
